This course will familiarize students with basic principles of geometry. Students will study the basics of space, including relationships between lines. We will cover properties and transformations of two dimensional shapes such as triangles, circles, and quadrilaterals. We will then proceed to principles of measurement, including length and area. Three dimensional shapes will be introduced, including concepts of surface area and volume. Throughout the course, students will build an understanding of logical reasoning and proof.
